My apologies for posting another non-news update, but I really have to get this off of my chest. Anyway, here’s what I have to say:
As you already and obviously know, not only 2019 is coming to a close but this decade as well. Travis’ online presence has been thriving for almost a decade and it should’ve been eliminated by now. For most of the time, Travis has practiced malicious online abuse towards others as well as glorifying it by making propaganda-laden hate “art”. This activity has been deemed unacceptable as per the rules of the social media sites that he’s on and the site admins (Most notably the deviantART admins and the Tumblr admins.) have failed to punish Travis by banning him and deleting his content. If these punishments did occur sooner, not only this decade would’ve been much better, the internet would’ve been a much better place. How? If he was stopped sooner, many people who have been abused by him would’ve been spared from him, making their decade better. As for the internet, it would’ve been free from his toxic online presence and his “art” and he may have refrained from joining other social media sites such as Twitter and Instagram, thus making the internet a somehow better place. Sadly, the admins have failed to do something about it and they let Travis to get away with his atrocious behavior. As a result, his hateful “art” is still up to this day, meaning that he is still breaking the rules. In addition, he has created other accounts for social media sites that he’s already on since 2018 and/or prior (e.g. Tumblr, Twitter) and has created accounts for sites that he’s never joined until 2019 (e.g. Instagram, Artstation). If the admins (mainly the ones from deviantART and Tumblr) took care of him sooner, the bans may have discouraged him from using social media sites completely. These bans and the removal of his content hasn’t occurred at all meaning that he is definitely getting away with his behavior. That and his content making a bad influence on others. This has been going on for quite sometime and it should’ve been stopped by now. This is why I created this petition.
We may not have stopped Travis this year, but we did make some good progress over the past several months in regarding to this petition. For starters, over 700 heroes have signed and I want to thank everyone who took part in this. But we still need to rally up more heroes in 2020. Why? Travis’ online presence will continue to exist in 2020 and probably beyond that year. The 2020’s may not be a decade that would be completely free from his online presence, but we can make the majority of it free from Travis B. Thomas’ online presence with this petition. The more people who sign means that the more likely that this petition will be a success. If you really want Travis to be off the internet, keep spreading the word about this and before you do, refer to the do’s and don’ts on sharing found on the bottom of the petition’s description!
To everyone who has signed and future signers, I wish everyone a safe and happy new year/decade. May the victory of this petition will mark the end of Travis’ online presence and make it happen in 2020!
