Well, everyone, I have some exciting news. I contacted the Town of Lyons, and they are on board with my idea! Unfortunately, it is not yet a guarantee as of yet because the town currently has a lot on their plate, but one councilmember whom I got in touch with is a railfan himself and agrees that their should be a park in Lyons for railfans to enjoy! However, the location he had in mind is not what I had in mind. He envisions it being built on the opposite side of town from what I had in mind (the vacant plot of land next to the grade crossing on Leach Road). Still, I can't declare victory yet, so please help me collect as many signatures as possible by sharing this petition on local Facebook groups. By the end of this month, please help me get at least 100 signatures. Thank you all for support!
