Last year, 95% of dogs picked up by Detroit Animal Control were euthanized, killed.  This is unacceptable and archaic.  Detroit is experiencing a Renaissance, but our dogs suffer at a rate unknown in any part of the world.  Adoptions were given up years ago.  There are no vaccination services or spay and neutering.  The worst part is, the head of the Detroit Animal Control is now spending money it doesn't have to stop volunteer organizations like Detroit Dog Rescue from saving strays!  This madness must stop!   MAYOR DUGGAN PLEASE SHUT DOWN DETROIT ANIMAL CONTROL!
