Shop Madison — Support Local First

It goes without saying that 2020 has been a hard year for all of us — including our local businesses. 

It's more important than ever this year to support the retailers, restaurants, hotels and businesses of all kinds in the Madison area. 

Why? Here are just a few reasons:

1. If every person in Madison supported local businesses first, just think about how much extra money that would put into our economy.
2. When you buy from a small business, an actual person does a little happy dance.
3. Local businesses are at the heart of what makes Madison, Madison. Supporting them supports our neighbors and strengthens our community. 
4. Because, why not?

Take the pledge to support at least 10 local businesses by 12/31/2020. 

Here are a few ways to support:

• Get carry out or dine in at a local restaurant
• Buy holiday gifts at one of the many local shops and boutiques in the Madison area
• Book a night (or two) at a hotel for a “Madison Minication”
• Give back and donate to a local nonprofit
• Share your love for a local business on social media
• Send an encouraging message to a local business owner
