REQUEST TO INCLUDE KINGSDOWN ROAD, WALMER IN THE PROPOSED MOTOR CARAVAN PROHIBITION –  CURRENTLY ONLY COVERING THE BEACH, WALMER

We request that the Proposed Motor Caravan (camper van) Prohibition currently being put forward for consultation covering The Beach, Walmer be extended to cover the Kingsdown Road, Walmer between Alexandra Road and Granville Road.

Overnight camper van parking causes many health and safety issues as well as often breaching the criminal Justice Act.

The Kingsdown Road is a continuation of The Beach, Walmer.
Any proposed camper van prohibition should include the Kingsdown Road. If this stretch of the Kingsdown Road is not included it would become the first point at which camper vans could legally park and it would very quickly become an environmental and road safety issue.

We believe that any overnight camper van prohibition that does not include the Kingsdown Road would be detrimental to the residents facing the Kingsdown Road.
