Julien Blanc and his group, RSD (Real Social Dynamics) are a group of sexist and racist "pick up artists," who have made a living by teaching men how to violate women through physical and emotional abuse. Julien gives seminars on how to pick up women using a variety of highly abusive techniques, such as economic abuse, isolation, coercion and threats, intimidation, emotional abuse, and "male privilege". 

According to information earlier obtained from the RSD website, he may attempt to enter Singapore in the near future. This individual has already been excluded or deported from Australia and Brazil. Governments of Canada and Korea have also pledged to investigate and take action. We, signatories hereto, petition you to exercise your authority as Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs and exclude this individual from Singapore or deport him if he has already entered. 

We also petition for any passes and permits necessary for Julien and RSD to conduct any commercial activities and events in Singapore (such as work and police permits) to be denied, so that this organisation will never be allowed to disseminate their harmful messages here.

UPDATE, 26 NOV 2014: The Ministry of Home Affairs, MSF and ICA have responded and decided that they "will not allow Mr Blanc into Singapore, especially if he is here to hold seminars or events that propagate violence against women or to participate in other objectionable activities in Singapore" (More information in the update post below this petition.) Here is a transcription of one of Julien's "coaching" videos, "White Male F**ks Asian Women InTokyo (And The Beautiful Methods To It)":

"At least in Tokyo, if you're a white male, you can do what you want. I'm just romping through the streets, just grabbing girls' heads, just like, head, pfft on the dick. Head, on the dick, yelling, 'pikachu,' with a pikachu shirt."

In the same video, he is shown physically harassing a Japanese store clerk who is clearly trying to pull away from his handling.

As part of his online self-promotion, Julien has also cited a power and control domestic violence wheel as a "checklist" for how males can "make her[their girlfriend] stay" in a relationship. (A screenshot of this post is pictured at the top of this petition.) Many of Julien's tips and suggestions given to others via his videos or social media accounts involve actions which break Singapore laws against sexual harassment and violence.

It is not only women who are affected; Julien's misogynistic 'pick up techniques' directly exploit vulnerable men who buy into rape culture and end up believing that this is an appropriate way to behave. Unlike what RSD and their supporters claim, these techniques do not "help" socially awkward men, but instead teach them to engage in harassment and abusive behaviour towards anyone they feel entitled to, while paying no heed to the other party's wishes. None of these techniques is considered appropriate social behaviour.

Do not associate Singapore with a man who chokes women around the world as part of his pick up game. Please help us stand with the women of Australia, Canada, Korea, Japan, Brazil, the UK, and women everywhere, and do not let Singapore play host to events where men are being taught how to violate and harass women.  

To allow this man or the group that he works for into Singapore legitimises sexual assault and predation, and sends a message that women are playthings or objects without agency. His presence here would be a clear danger to our women and a destructive influence towards our youth. The encouragement and dissemination of this sort of behaviour is incompatible with the laws, security and values of Singaporeans, and is an affront to the inherent dignity of women everywhere. Please do not let him in, and do not let RSD conduct any events or commercial activities in Singapore.
