Blacktown Residents Voice and the community object to the name change. This name change that has been suggested is considered disrespectful to the community and inconsiderate.

The Blacktown is our heritage, it is a story of where the name came from, how, when and why. Our children and grandchildren need to know the story and how proud they can be of the their parents. Blacktown Name is an indigenous heritage - let us not take it away from them.

This change will cost money and who will paying for such a lavish expenditure - None other than the Ratepayers. Small business will be impacted badly as they have to cop the bill Not Council or Government.

Lets use that money to improve the Blacktown area, the needs of the community, infrastructure, hospitals, parks etc.
