On July 13th a young calf was violently killed in the parking lot of the Bloomfield Home Depot after escaping the Saba live slaughterhouse across the street. Workers attempted to shoot him with a bow and arrow; when that failed, his throat was slit with a foot-long knife. We are asking that this business be closed permanently, as they have demonstrated a disturbing pattern of violations and disregard for the welfare of the animals in their care, and also the residents of Bloomfield.
