Deport Ms Bethel Zewdneh from Germany

Deport Ms Bethel Zewdneh from Germany
The Issue
Being born and raised in Addis Ababa City, I cherish deeply the values and traditions of my beloved hometown. Addis Ababa is not just a geographical location—it is the heart of Ethiopia, a place filled with rich culture, warmth, and the spirit of our ancestors. The people of Addis, known as YeAddis Ababa Lijoch, carry a unique identity that is intertwined with the city's vibrant history and heritage.
However, recently, a person by the name of Ms Bethel Zewdneh has caused outrage and dismay among those of us who value the dignity and integrity of our community. Ms Zewdneh has been posting disrespectful and offensive content on her Facebook account, targeting YeAddis Ababa Lijoch. These posts not only demean the image of the youths born and raised in Addis Ababa but also propagate discord and animosity among us.
Germany, a country recognized for upholding human rights and fostering inclusive community values, hosts Ms Zewdneh. Yet, her actions reflect neither the harmonious principles of her host nation nor the respect owed to her roots. Her derogatory comments have crossed a boundary, spreading misinformation and disrespect to untold numbers of people who hold Addis Ababa dear.
These hurtful posts have sparked distress and tension within our community, both in Ethiopia and abroad, prompting a need for decisive action. Ms Zewdneh’s actions stand in stark contrast to the values of respect and unity we strive for, and we cannot let them go unchallenged.
We call on the relevant authorities in Germany to review Ms Zewdneh’s conduct and consider her deportation to Ethiopia. By seeking such measures, we hope to uphold the reputation and honor of Addis Ababa's resilient and proud youths while taking a firm stance against hate speech and social media misuse.
Please join me in signing this petition to urge the German authorities to take action and ensure that Ms Bethel Zewdneh is held accountable for her actions. Let us protect the dignity and legacy of YeAddis Ababa Lijoch and promote a message of respect and unity in our diverse world. Signing this petition is a step toward fostering an environment where all cultures and communities are respected and cherished.
