Elon Musk, originally from South Africa, is now a dominant figure within the US tech industry. However, his representation and impact are increasingly causing distress for many American citizens like myself. Statistics show that his tweets alone have the potential to create shaky markets and influence public opinion, sometimes in a deleterious manner (source: Forbes, 2021). This overbearing presence has prompted this call for Musk to return to his home country, South Africa.
