Students are desperate for assistance with their mental health struggles. DePauw currently has a psychiatrist on campus three days a month; individuals wait MONTHS for an appointment. A prescription for medication is often an integral part of treatment of debilitating mental health conditions; a psychiatrist can work with students to create treatment plans while also prescribing medication. Therapists and counselors on campus are unfortunately not capable of prescribing medication.  DePauw University must do better.
