DePaul University has officially declared that they are cancelling their Spring 2020 commencement ceremony and will conduct a virtual graduation. Students have worked incredibly hard to get to this point. DePaul’s 2020 class is made up of many first-generation college students who have waited so long to finally cross the stage. Many parents have sacrificed a lot to provide an education for their children. It’s unfair and unacceptable for students to not receive the celebration they deserve. Schools around the country have taken action to postpone their ceremony until August. DePaul University needs to do the same. Please sign this petition in support of the hard working class of 2020.
