Alligator Creek,  Hay Point Road T Intersection of Benson’s Road. 

After community supported Letters and Residence petition have been presented with Our local Mackay Regional Council.  Presented was our Benson’s Road T intersection causing daily safety issues, from vehicles overtaking from the left in a gravel surface which in turn has resulted in numerous vehicles receiving total right off cases resulting from rear  ending  and front end being pushed into oncoming Traffic from Hay Point Coal Terminals direction .  Residence have report numerous incidents such as 2 side windows, rear endings, side swiping and smashed windscreens , these all able too occur with families in a stationary vehicle waiting too enter their home estates of Fenechvale, and Coleshill Drive estate of which has 6 new homes built in the last 6 months.   

Heavy vehicles transporting building materials and earth moving equipment are all experiencing this T intersection  entrance and exit issues onto the busy Hay Point Road . 

All community residence , school bus drivers , tourists , Coal Terminals  of Hay Point and Dalrymple Bay staff daily travel the 2 lane road 2x daily negotiating the dangerous T intersection which has flooding occurring after heavy rainfall which closes the road every wet season. 

In closing the Hay Point Road heavy volume of traffic daily requires an upgrade for the safety of all road users.
