City Landscaping

The Issue

Granada Hills Residents as well as the Knollwood Estates Community would like to ask our neighbor the Department of Water and Power City of Los Angeles Rinaldi Receiving Station 15901 (Land Management Division) to please extend their beautiful landscaping and wall to the corner of Rinaldi and Woodley Blvd.

This intersection currently serves as an entrance into the Granada Hills Neighborhood as well as Knollwood Estates Neighborhood and currently greets its residents with an old rusted chain link fence and barbed wire. A common attraction for transients and RV parking.

Crime: In the last two months transients have jumped the fence and entered the restricted area leading into many of our backyards which is shared with the DWP. I noticed first hand as the DWP security chased a man off after I alerted them to his presence. This fence serves as any entry point which can easily be climbed over using a blanket like I observed him do.

Good Neighbor: This kind gesture from the DWP would greatly improve the neighborhood and create a much nicer experience for both residents and visitors entering our beloved community.
