My name is Jennifer I want military spouses to have  rights we give up everything for our significant other and they can just disappear, abandon, abuse you and leave you with nothing. My army veteran husband left me after I got him help for not taking his medicine and he  eventually even got charged with assault on a female he went as far as breaking the protection order over and over posing as a lawyer hee even had my power cut off after I paid it cause it was in his name tore down my fence and had the locks changed. I was a dependent spouse I took care of him and his kids when he couldn't. I've had to fight for any and everything since he left in January 2020. Had to fight Veterans Affairs for any support. I have had no help through any military spouse programs or anything because he left me. I wanted to go back to school since he left I wouldn't qualify. I've been fighting to survive and it makes it seem that the victim of the abandonment and abuse is in the wrong and has to pay for getting them help or even trying. Military spouses have no rights and not cared about at all they could care less. It's all about the veteran even if they was in the wrong. I think if u do wrong the victim shouldn't have to go through privacy releases etc the victim shouldn't have to find out about things when it's to late. For example having a VA loan and doing everything they can to make you miserable because they did wrong not signing papers not paying the mortgage it should be an obligation. Domestic violence survivor's should have more help and be informed that the one that did wrong is getting out of a hospital or jail. We shouldn't be continuously intimidated our rights stripped from us for someone elses mental health and anger issues and they shouldnt have a choice of what happens to anything after they become a criminal.
