Another sister restaurant of The Clam, Little Owl, and Market Table is opening in the restaurant space of 99 Bank Street on the northeast corner of Bank Street and Greenwich Street in the West Village. While local residents are looking forward to the opening of this new restaurant, we believe it is IMPERATIVE to prohibit the opening of a block-long outdoor dining area/shed on Greenwich Street. These restaurants often play loud music outside and patrons dine late into the evening. In addition to extreme sound pollution, this set-up will result in disruption to foot traffic and parking on the block of Greenwich Street between Bank Street and Bethune Street. This addition to the restaurant is unnecessary and will be an enormous disruption to the many neighbors residing on Bank, Greenwich, and Bethune. Once restaurants obtain the permit for these outdoor sheds by the DOT, they are nearly impossible to remove. Therefore, we are hoping to get sufficient signatures of neighbors and residents to prevent the building of this additional space. Thank you in advance for your support in protecting the peace of our special neighborhood.
