Asylum for persecuted South African Farmers
The Issue
ASYLUM FOR SOUTH AFRICAN FARMING FAMILY
Farmers and their families in South Africa are being attacked and murdered with vicious, unimaginable brutality. In the first 6 months of 2020 ,according to South African police statistics, 128 farm attacks took place, compared to the first 6 months of 2019 when 13 farm attacks took place. This means that rural crimes have surged ten-fold despite a national lockdown , criminals have viewed the Covid-19 pandemic and the chaos which ensured as an opportunity to terrorize farming communities.
Let me introduce my farming family, my brother Barry Coburn, his wife Trudie, their 2 daughters Lindy and Jessica , son-in-law Gary, and 3 beautiful grandchildren . They are law abiding, hard working family who have to live with the possibility of their father and husband becoming a statistic in this rampage of murder and mayhem in South Africa. We are NOT drama and neurotic mongers, we are realistic as Barry has already SURVIVED an attack on the farm.! This is real and I want to plead that they are granted asylum in the USA, because the current situation in South Africa is devoid of all human rights.
I am an American citizen and desperately want my family to be able to experience a country where human rights are not a figment of the imagination, where families can work hard without fear that marauding killers will attack and kill.
Please google " Farm murders in South Africa" to get more information
PLEASE sign this petition to ask for asylum for this family- their lives could depend on this.
Thank you ,
