On May 12th, 2017, s.w. Warren Brown, an employee for over 13 years, was terminated by the Department of Sanitation of New York. s.w. Warren Brown was on commissioners probation and reaching the end of its term, and had served admirable. He was placed on commissioners probation for "excessive emergency leaves". In the time s.w. Warren Brown was on probation, he had gone from "C" category to "A" category, had not had any disciplinary incidents, accidents or safety infractions. His lone blemish, during this time, was a lapse in his insurance, that had his license suspended. (He paid the insurance and his broker forgot to update the info), even the safety division was aware of this situation and sided with s.w. Warren Brown. The department responded in a harsh and truly draconian fashion by terminating s.w. Warren Brown. We, find this truly disturbing. Seeing the vast improvement in his attendance, Continued emphasis on hard work and service to the citizens of new york, that he would be cast away so easily and arbitrarily. These signatures are to show you that we support our brother in his time of need and feel he deserves another chance.
His wife and 5 kids truly depend on his continued employement.
