The roads in some localities have not been repaired for a long time or even if there is a reconstruction, it is only left unfinished. The present status of the road conditions is totally unacceptable with the roads full of pits and ditches and sub-standard construction material on the roads everywhere. Even the machines that are used in construction was just parked in both sides of the roads. The condition of the roads become worse especilly during rainy season. They cause road accidents. At night, people sometimes stumble down. Commuters are the one being affected by these unfinished projects. Students get late for school, parents are late for office and in some extreme cases, even hospital cases are getting delayed. Because buses and cars are being stuck in heavy traffic. Moreover, these pits provide breeding ground for the mosquitoes. Thus, it may cause an outbreak of mosquitoes in the locality leading to the spread of malaria.
