As we all know and are aware of that the collecting of Cockels and Mussels are being over fished in the lake on a daily basis.
We are all aware that our local fisheries officers are well under staffed but are listening to community concerns and doing the best they can.
We are all noticing the effects the over collecting is creating on the local fish stocks as fish being caught each and every year is on the decline.
A minimum 4 year ban at minimum needs to be introduced and enforced immediately to save our lake and its fragile eco system.
