The first day of protests resulted in 4 bus loads of anti protesters arriving at camp by the hotel and they quickly set out to cause injuries and intimidate.   The hotel then filed an injunction against us.  The judge would not rule on the complaint by the hotel so they failed there.  It just goes further to support that the hotel knows this is a bad location.  They are not wanting the spotlight on them, nor are they wanting us to look further.   We are providing an attorney with documentation showing that the permits are from 2016, 5 years ago.  The reports and permits are the initial required for a project and the permits themselves ask for more in depth testing and surveying.  So where are those reports?  Why are your permits 5 years old?  We are starting an education campaign about the vital role a wetland plays for our community.  Protects us from flooding, filters all run off before that water can enter the ocean.  Keeps our waters clean and clear.  The hotel can be built anywhere.  Just not in wetlands.
