The American Citizens of Puerto Rico have been the victims of rampant corruption and mismanagement from the Island's government controlled AEE / PREPA which is in charge of Puerto Rico's electric energy. Decades of mishandling of public funds that run into the billions of dollars left the Island with a dilapidated electrical grid before hurricanes Irma and Maria struck their mortal blow to the system. This petition seeks a thorough investigation by the US Federal government in order to find and bring to justice all entities, whether individual or in collaboration with others for defrauding the US citizens and Federal funds entrusted to the AEE/PREPA. It also calls for privatization of the electric utility in the Island of Puerto Rico.
