On April 20, 2010, eleven men died on the Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. To date, nothing has been done to hold responsible those whose decisions led to the unnecessary deaths of these fathers, brothers, and sons; this is nothing short of a travesty!

The Seaman's Manslaughter Statute is a seldom-used law that could provide at least a modicum of closure to the families of these eleven souls, bringing up to 10 years imprisonment per person killed, in addition to financial penalties.  It is PAST time for the Department of Justice to prosecute and bring justice for the deaths of these eleven men!
