We are a group of women that come from all walks of life. We are sisters, friends, neighbors, and single mothers who believe in fair treatment and creating a better world for future generations to come. We are women that have lived at Crossway Community, Kensington, MD, as part of the Family Leadership Academy. We are women that need to have our stories heard regarding the unfair treatment we have endured while living at Crossway Community. In fighting for the truth, we have come together to share our stories and raise awareness to the injustices we faced. This petition is to have the CEO and the administration removed from running this single mothers program at Crossway Community along with the Crossway Montessori School. We believe in the program but the administration has managed to abuse their power while promoting lies to the public under false pretenses. The CEO and staff have proven themselves to be unsympathetic to the venerable woman who have participated in the program and furthermore have focused in their self-interest rather than the core values that the program claims to represent. The staff continues to use the women stories as a basis for funding yet do not deliver on their promises. Donors are presented with lies  by informing the public that this program is helping single mothers, when in reality it has done minimum for the woman in the Family Leadership Academy. The administration has controlled women through intimidation with false evictions, court judgments, raised utility bills and the mistreatment of children in the Montessori School, just to name a few. The staff pressures and harasses the women that do not conform to their request. Then pressures the women to submit to their lies through manipulation.

We will no longer be silenced by bigotry and unjust treatment. Enough is enough and this organization needs to be exposed...
Crossway Community has thrived on exploiting our children's vulnerabilities by using vulnerable mothers in desperate situations.  Please support by signing this petition to support and create social change and a better environment for these women, starting with removing the CEO Kathleen Guinan, along with the administration at Crossway Community, 3015 Upton Drive, Kensington MD 20895. She has managed to sink the only charter school in Montgomery County because of greed.

Solution:

Bring in a new administration team who generally cares for the well being of the women.  

WHAT WE WANT TO CHANGE: Remove CEO Kathleen Guinan and the administration, and replace the whole administration with qualifying people that care and will follow the program as it is supposed to help single mothers succeed. This program as the ability to be very successful and productive for many single mothers in the crossway community program. 

FACTS:

HOC and DHCA has an started an open investigation against Crossway Community May 2014 from all the complaints against this Non Profit Organization by the women and teachers.

Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County is no longer partners with Crossway Communities as of June 1, 2015

Megan Remo CEO of District Desserts, partnership with CEO Kathleen Guinan as of June 19, 2015, stopped taking customer orders because she was not going to be part of any more lies and refused to continue to operate in a commercial kitchen that was not inspected; furthermore this is the same kitchen was built for the women and was to be used for educational classes yet in reality it was used to conduct business to make cookies and treats.
