Ahmed Abdel-basit Mohammad is an academic seeking asylum in the US due to the brutal political persecution in his country. Ahmed has been recently detained by ICE and has an unjust and politically motivated death sentence in Egypt.

On April 5th 2018, ICE agents arrested Ahmed outside of his home on his way to work, where he teaches physics to high school students.

Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have reported on his case and have supported his asylum application. Denying Ahmed's asylum and deporting him is sending an innocent man to his imminent death.
