Legalise voluntary Euthanasia Australia

Legalise voluntary Euthanasia Australia
The issue
Every day people are suffering from terminal illness, Dementia, Alzheimer's disease and other diseases that make there quality of life unbearable.
There are also many elderly people being treated poorly or abused in aged care facilities.
Why do we not let them or in some cases there families decide what is best for them. Why do we as a country prolong suffering for these people.
They deserve the right to decide when they want it to end. Give them the choice!
We have made amazing steps towards this in Victoria. There is now Voluntary assisted death laws that allow people to make that choice. It is still restricted though. People have to have two doctors agree that they will die within 12 months. It is a step in the right direction but not enough.
On 20 September 2017, the Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill 2017 was introduced into the Victorian Parliament by the AndrewsLabor Government. The bill was modelled on the recommendations of an expert panel chaired by former Australian Medical Association president Professor Brian Owler. The bill passed the parliament, with amendments made in the Legislative Council, on 29 November 2017. In passing the bill, Victoria became the first state to legislate for voluntary assisted dying. The law received royal assent on 5 December 2017 and will come into effect in mid-2019
Right now people are travelling to Switzerland to have this right. Leaving family and friends so they no longer have to suffer. Let them be with there loved ones and have that right.
Please help people in horrible situations have the right to choose what is best for them. It is our human right!
