Philippines is known for its rich biodiversity. Many tourists know the Philippines as a destination for island hopping since it has many beautiful and rich islands. They see and witness the beauty of nature under the sea including the coral reefs.  Also, they admire how beautiful and pleasant in the eyes the coral reefs are. 

The coral reefs is one of the things that makes the Philippines known for. Also, it is a habitat for the fishes and other living things under the sea. However, we are not aware of what's really the issue or the problem in our coral reefs. The Philippines' coral reefs are slowly disappearing and it's not good for the environment. If these will continue to disappear, living things under the sea will have no habitat and the worst case, they might die. The reasons why coral reefs are dying or disappeearing, it's because of pollution, overfishing and things we do that may destroy the coral reefs - which we aren't aware of. 

It's really alarming after we discover that our coral reefs are disappearing slowly. We aren't aware of this problem because of the bigger problems that our country is facing. But, we can help in saving the coral reefs. We can lessen the pollution we produce and we can monitor them. Monitoring them monthly or annually can be a really big help. We will know what's wrong and how are our coral reefs if we monitor them. An action of an individual can affect the whole environment. If each individual can help in saving the coral reefs, then we're also saving the living things under the sea. Let's help one another in saving the coral reefs before we regret that we did not.
