On behalf of the Alumnis of Matafao Elementary School. We humbly ask to please reconsider renaming Matafao. It's been decades, as we all know Matafao was established from 1964-1966. And Matafao is already named after the highest mountain in Tutuila. A historical name, that we humbly carry with hope, love, and gratitude. It is the foundation of our childhood education that led us all to different walks of success in life. No disrespect to Mr. Nikolao Pula, all we ask is to keep the school name Matafao. There is always the new gym & school buildings that can be used in honor of Mr Nikolao Pula. But please, Matafao is more than just a name. It's a family that we love and continue to carry with gratitude.
