Agusan National High School - Butuan City is the oldest and biggest public secondary high school primarily serving the Butuanonon Youth. For over 100 years, it has produced graduates and created an alumni network of promising individuals who have become leaders and experts in various fields, contributing to the progress and development of not just Butuan City, but the entire world. Agusan High, as it is commonly called, therefore, has become a remarkable treasure and a historical symbol that has shaped the culture of the Butuanons. Hence, this shall be preserved and given the utmost care and attention that its legacy shall live and passed on to the generations to come. 

With such an undertaking, WE, the alumni members, and the people of Butuan, petition to all concerned authorities to create an ordinance, stipulating that Agusan National High School - Butuan City shall be (a.) considered a cultural legacy and historical treasure of the city which shall continue to (b.) produce graduates as prescribed by the Department of Education that is (c.) protected from any entity that attempts to destabilize its mission in serving the Filipino Youth and the Butuanon Community.
