Trees are vital because they give us more oxygen, utilize carbon dioxide, stabilize the soil and give life to the world's wildlife. They also provide us with the raw materials for tools and shelter. Basically, our life depends on it. Due to the large number of forest fires for the past few months, trees are rapidly decreasing.

As students, the least that we could do is to increase its number in our area. We are all contributing to its losses with the papers that we use for our everyday need, hence, the need for all of us to equally contribute to its replacements. The schools should replace projects of students involving usage of large quantities of paper, with the planting of trees by each student in the first quarter and its growth development as their final output in the last quarter.

This is a petition to enforce a law that every school should implement such project. The extremity of it as a law is a sad fact because it should be one's own initiative. Basing on reality, grades are far more important to most of the students now a days than our planet. If it's only important because passing is a requirement made by the Department of Education, then planting trees should be one too. If you're still not convinced, then you're probably not aware that we have only less than 12 years to limit climate change catastrophe. Let's stop ignoring the reality and do something to change our future, otherwise, why are we putting so much effort to our selfish needs if we can't have a future with it?
