The Issue

The Marikina City Library was established in August 1956 under the term of Mayor Gil Fernando. The Library started with 300 volumes of books allocated by the Bureau of Public Libraries. In the year 1962, the government decided to enhance the Library's services and facilities.And in 1989, the building of the Library was completed. But during the recent years, the public library seemed congested and crowded with all the shelves compressed. This then does not achieve the library's mission to provide the community appropriate access to its organized collection and to conserve an preserve the memories of Marikina.This petition aims to provide a more convenient and a better place for students' learning of the community in Marikina City.
