Gladys Berejiklian has further eased restrictions in NSW this week as we have had over 30 days without any community transmission. This is such great news!
Sadly, the easing of restrictions in our society is not also occurring in our schools. Parents and carers are still unable to go onto school grounds and have limited or no access to school activities. There seems to be no consistency with people able to watch sporting and music events in large numbers.  However,  parents and caregivers are being locked out of their local schools missing key milestones in their children’s education. 
This was necessary for our protection last year but with weeks of zero community transmission under our belt and the rollout of the vaccine the DET can surely consider easing some of their restrictions.
