The problems that we as a population are facing now such as global warming, species extinction, deforestation and ocean pollution are not new problems, however real solutions to these problems have not been government priority (Why are we still even considering nuclear power, really?) and the few ideas that can make a difference are not implemented on a large enough scale.  Sadly not enough people are informed and educated on a personal level about this planet and these important environmental aspects, and as a result the mass involvement of the population that is needed to combat these issues is simply not there.  In order for real change to be made to maintain and protect the various species' and the Earth on which we live, younger generations should be provided with an education that nurtures an awareness of the environment and promotes conservation and a renewable and sustainable existence.

Education is the key to unlocking these issues and tackling them on a larger scale, with a generation of new minds that are more environmentally conscious than any of their predecessors, and who in this modern technological age should have all the tools and capabilities to focus on helping to save, and perhaps restore this green Earth, for the future generations to come. Environmentalism belongs in the heart and mind of every person on the planet.  If we do not start acting now and cleaning up our mess, we will continue to destroy this beautiful world and very soon, sooner than most people realise, there will not be an inhabitable world left for future generations, human, animal and plant alike.
