Save the Wildlife of North Stoneville

Save the Wildlife of North Stoneville
The Issue
CALLING ON ALL ANIMAL LOVERS, particularly those of Kangaroos (Our Australian Icon) Please unite to save hundreds of Kangaroos including dozens of joeys, as well as bandicoots, the protected Black-tailed Cockatoo and a Wedge-tailed Eagle, who face extermination so that the owners and the developers can make money!
A new subdivision application by Satterley is for a housing development of 555 hectares (1,350 houses) in the rural hills of North Stoneville. This development will clear 150 - 180 hectares of native bushland, thousands of eucalyptus trees, some of which are over 100 years old, the habitat for generations of mobs of Kangaroos.
This area of land is also home to the Mardo [endangered], Chudich, Phascogale [endangered], Carnaby, hundreds of the red-tailed black cockatoos [engangered], Echidna, and a Wedge-tailed Eagle.
The loss of their habitat will further push these animals toward extinction and create a rural ghetto.
We have a duty of care/custodianship of our environment and should be thinking of regeneration, not the destruction of the natural bushland.
GUNSHOTS have been heard since the 1st of February 2019 to either move or cull the Kangaroo families prior to subdivision approval.
Gunshots have been reported to: The Shire of Mundaring, WA Police, Satterley, DBCA and Landowners.
I have started this petition in an attempt to save the wildlife of North Stoneville. We need to protect these areas of land, not only for our children but for future generations.
Please show your support and sign.
