100's of greyhounds retire from racing or do not make the cut at racing. It falls on a few brave volunteers to take initiative and rescue these greyhounds to prevent the hounds from being euthanised. As greyhounds are a special breed a dedicated rehoming centre is essential. The Irish greyhound board and the Irish Coursing Club which regulate the breeding and racing of greyhounds over this island could help immensely by allocating financial support to the establishment of such a centre.
