Thank you for taking the time to sign this petition and all the great comments on this issue. LATEST NEWS: We were really hoping that the initiative was going to get back on track after the General Election. We have the new, but same as before Transport Secretary. TfL, who are writing the business case, delayed publication, first because of the Election, and again now in July, because they’ve decided, in conjunction with the London Borough of Southwark, that further work is needed. We want to the business case to be as positive as possible, even if it means we have to wait till September. So meantime, the campaign team are holding back on the letter to the Department of Transport, on behalf of everyone who has signed – because we want to be really sure of hitting the points that matter. HOW YOU CAN HELP NOW: Demonstrating community support remains a real priority. So we are having an event to attention to the issues, in a way that is fun and hopefully a bit different. The Great Cake Event. We’ll be doing the rounds by public transport on the Monday, visiting City Hall, and TfL and tweeting as we go.
