Bring online school to Creek View Elementary and Fulton County schools.

The Issue

Dear

Creek View Elementary School,

GA State Board of Education,

Fulton County Schools System,

Respectable Georgia Governor,

Respectable Georgia Senators,

We THE PARENTS have been paying close attention to the situation regarding Covid-19 and currently there is NO vaccine available for kids under the age of 12 and it poses a great risk to the families with kids in Elementary Schools. Fulton County schools followed a hybrid approach the last school year with both Face to Face and Online School and it was a great success. For this coming school year (2021-2022) this option has been cancelled. But the neighboring counties like Forsyth are continuing this successful method of schooling during the pandemic. As another wave has hit our country, and with a growing number of DELTA variant cases, the Face-to-Face schooling poses a great risk for the communities. Considering the consequences on a community of a Covid-19 outbreak, we urge the schools to take more proactive actions to prevent an outbreak in our community, such as providing online schooling, through the school system, so students do not have to unenroll from their school and could rejoin face -to -face after vaccinations and a decline in cases.

Making parents choose between keeping their children in school or unenrolling them to keep them safe is a decision families should not have to make. Now, we know much about Covid-19, so an early intervention appears critical to delay or prevent an outbreak.

As parents, the safety of our families is our number one priority. As such, we strongly encourage you keep ONLINE enrolled school (as supposed to the fully Fulton County school system) as an available option for the kids to select from and study with good physical and mental health.

Thank you.
