Hi Everyone,

We hope you are all healthy and safe!

On Saturday (April 24), we delivered letters to the residents that live closest to the park. Unfortunately, only 2 out of the 20 houses responded. We are currently working on a second letter with more detailed information, updated map and answering any concerns that they may have.

During our continuous research, we found out that the city Parks, Forestry and Recreation department will consider a dola (dog off-leash area) request if there is a dog owners association group that exists in the neighborhood. We created a FB Group Page to help solidify our petition and cause.

Please join our page here

The Graydon Hall Dog Owners Association Page is about:
the responsible dog ownership in the Graydon Hall neighborhood. Our current mission is to convince city officials to establish an off-leash dog area in Graydon Hall Park, since the next closest off-leash facilities are about 8 kilometers away, and hence not walkable. As a unified community, we can have our voices heard. If you own a dog, and live in the Graydon Hall neighborhood, please join, and ask other dog owners in the neighborhood to join as well; there’s power in numbers. This group will be used to to post meetups, dog walks, share resources and coordinate seasonal clean up, etc.

Lastly, our petition has over 180 signatures!! This is absolutely incredible! We appreciate all of your support, by word of mouth, sharing the petition link, speaking to neighbours or scanning a flyer. We cannot do this without each one of you.

Thank you all so much,
-Karen
