I've been a resident of the Graydon Hall community for over 7 years, and have run into a lot of dog owners in our community. We wanted to convert an empty grass area off of Graydon Hall into an Off-leash dog park facility. All this park would need is fencing and there is already a recycling and trash bin.

With the weather warming up, the increase amount of new adopted dogs during covid in our community, dogs now have very limited places to take our dogs. It would be great to have a space where they can exercise and play safely and securely. The amount of dogs we see on a daily basis can range from 10-20 dogs and that’s during a walk around the neighbourhood.

The next closest parks aren't walking distance and would have to drive over to either L’Amoreaux Off-Leash Dog Park, Willowdale Off-leash Dog Park or Sunnybrook Dog Park. Not everyone drives or feels safe taking public transit during these times.  Betty Sutherland Trail is great for walking but that path can be a bit too busy and not very fun for dogs.

Having a park like this in the community would be super beneficial as we've seen dog owners from York Heights, Henry farm, Parkway Forest, residents from the Parkwoods Donalda walk over to this park.
