This petition is against Yolanda Saldivar from being awarded parole as she appears before the parole board on March 30, 2025, the eve of the 30 year anniversary of "The Death of Selena", which has been called "Selenity" by her fans.

Saldivar caused two major events: What fans call "The Passion (Suffering) of La Reina" and "The Death of La Reina". The Passion of La Reina began at the moment she was shot between 11:48am to 11:52am when she lost consciousness. Within that time frame, Selena suffered great mental trauma as Selena displayed clear signs of PTSD, and physical trauma prior to her death.

Saldivar categorically murdered Selena Quintanilla in premeditated fashion on March 31, 1995. She purchased the weapon, replaced the standard bullets with hollow point bullets to assure maximum damage, and stated "my conscious is clear", indicating no remorse for her actions. Her actions singlehandedly altered the course of history, crushed a family and thrusted two nations, Mexico and the United States, into mourning.

If Yolanda is released, it will mean that Selena's death would have been in vain. It could also be the catalysts for violence on a larger scale which could lead to even more deaths, as many on the outside are actively seeking retribution. 

Now is the time to act because Yolanda is preparing statements to assure her release. If she is released, she will have free range to harm Selena again. Selena was not protected on March 31, 1995, but we can protect her now. Now is the time to protect Selena's dignity and her legacy from Yolanda and the dangerous ideology and obsession that caused Selena to suffer in her final moments.

On behalf of Selena Quintanilla's Legacy group and it's members, we petition to the great State of Texas against Yolanda Saldivar's parole on March 30, 2025.

Esta petición es contra Yolanda Saldívar para que no se le conceda la libertad condicional mientras comparece ante la junta de libertad condicional el 30 de marzo de 2025, la víspera del 30 aniversario de "La muerte de Selena", que sus fans han llamado "Selenity".

Saldívar provocó dos hechos importantes: lo que los fanáticos llaman "La Pasión (Sufrimiento) de La Reina" y "La Muerte de La Reina".  La Pasión de La Reina comenzó en el momento en que fue baleada entre las 11:48 y las 11:52 cuando perdió el conocimiento.  Dentro de ese período de tiempo, Selena sufrió un gran trauma mental ya que Selena mostró signos claros de trastorno de estrés postraumático y trauma físico antes de su muerte.

Saldívar asesinó categóricamente a Selena Quintanilla de manera premeditada el 31 de marzo de 1995. Compró el arma, reemplazó las balas estándar con balas de punta hueca para asegurar el máximo daño y declaró "mi conciencia está clara", sin indicar ningún remordimiento por sus acciones.  Sus acciones por sí solas alteraron el curso de la historia, aplastaron a una familia y enlutaron a dos naciones, México y Estados Unidos.

Si Yolanda es liberada, significará que la muerte de Selena habría sido en vano.  También podrían ser los catalizadores de una violencia a mayor escala que podría provocar aún más muertes, ya que muchos en el exterior buscan activamente represalias.

Ahora es el momento de actuar porque Yolanda está preparando declaraciones para asegurar su liberación.  Si la liberan, tendrá libertad para dañar a Selena nuevamente.  Selena no estaba protegida el 31 de marzo de 1995, pero ahora podemos protegerla.  Ahora es el momento de proteger la dignidad de Selena y su legado de Yolanda y la peligrosa ideología y obsesión que hicieron sufrir a Selena en sus momentos finales.
