The Issue

In 2007, my beloved two-year-old son, Konnor Allen, was tragically killed by Jacob Angelsey, a Green River, WY police officer who was supposed to be caring for him. The journey to justice was an arduous one. It took seven long years before Angelsey was finally arrested, following a grand jury indictment. The pain of those years was compounded by the court battle that ensued, lasting nearly two years, during which Angelsey attempted to evade accountability for his horrendous actions.

Despite the clear evidence and conviction, he was only sentenced to 16-20 years for his heinous crime. Now, after serving just 7.5 years, Jacob Angelsey is once again seeking freedom through parole and work release. This is a man who has yet to admit responsibility for Konnor's death, continually disregarding the suffering he has caused not only to our family but to the community as a whole.

Allowing his early release would not only be a miscarriage of justice but a grave disregard for the life of an innocent child whose future was stolen. It would be an affront to every family that holds dear the promise of safety and justice for their loved ones.

Granting parole to someone who has shown no remorse and who has repeatedly sought to escape the full consequences of his actions is unthinkable. We must ensure that the justice system upholds the initial sentence to its full completion, reflecting the severity of the crime and the irreplaceable loss of Konnor.

Residents of Wyoming, particularly Green River, we urge you to stand with us in demanding that the Wyoming Parole Board deny any requests for parole, release, or work release for Jacob Angelsey. Stand with us to protect the integrity of our justice system and the memories of those whose lives have been torn apart by violence.

Please sign this petition to deny parole for Jacob Angelsey and honor the memory of Konnor. Together, let us raise our voices for justice and ensure the continued safety of our community by not allowing this atrocity to go unpunished.
