Deny Entry to the UK for Ivan Balabanov due to Animal Cruelty Practices
The Issue
For someone who holds animals so dear to their heart, it's a deeply personal and painful reality to observe the abuse undertaken by Ivan Balabanov, a promoter of utilising prong and electric collars on dogs.
Ivan Balabanov, a figure who is renowned for his training methods involving prong collars and shock devices on dogs, has perpetuated a flawed study that wrongly supports the use of electric shock collars on dogs. This alone has swayed the perception of many who failed to understand the detrimental effects it brought, contributing to my personal torment.
Scientific research clearly shows that training which involves negative reinforcement, such as electric shock collars, can lead to increased aggression and fearfulness in dogs (Source: Royal Society). Using such devices not only compromises the welfare of the dog, but also contravenes the UK Animal Welfare Act (2006) which makes it illegal to cause unnecessary suffering to any animal.
The UK, a country known for its strong animal welfare laws and compassionate attitude towards animals, should not provide a platform for the propagation of methods that promote harm and discomfort to animals. By denying entry to individuals such as Ivan Balabanov, the UK would be setting a clear message that animal welfare cannot be compromised.
Sign this petition to refuse entry to the UK to Ivan Balabanov. We must rally together to protect our beloved pets from inhumane practices.
