Arrest Jennifer Watson of Denver, CO for Attempted Murder

0 have signed. Let’s get to 50,000!

On Thursday, May 28, 2020, Jennifer Watson purposefully tried to run over a peaceful protester during the protests against police brutality and the murder of George Floyd.

In this video, Jennifer can be seen purposefully hitting a protester with her car, driving with him on the hood of her car, and then intentionally making an immediate u-turn in a second attempt to deliberately run him over after he was able to get off of her car the first time she hit him.

Protesters at the event were able to capture Jennifer's actions on camera.

Despite this video showing Jennifer's obvious attempt to run a protester over, she was able to drive away from the scene immediately, with no apparent repercussions or consequences for her horrific actions.

If Jennifer is NOT held accountable for her crimes, then she sets an incredibly dangerous precedent for other hateful individuals to mimic her actions against nonviolent protesters across the nation. In fact, we've already witnessed more attempted murders using vehicles after Jennifer's incident on 5-28-20:

a) In Tallahassee, FL on 5-30-20:

b) In Minneapolis, MN on 6-1-20:

These individuals MUST be held accountable for their dangerous, horrific actions so that others across the nation know that they cannot get away with doing the same. We have already witnessed this disgusting behavior in Charlottesville, VA in August 2017, when a car ran into a crowd of nonviolent protesters, killing 1 and injuring 19 more. We cannot let this continue to happen.

We are calling on Jared Polis, the Governor of Colorado, Michael Hancock, the Mayor of Denver, as well as the Denver Sheriff Department, including Interim Sheriff Fran Gomez, who currently leads the Denver Sheriff Department, to take prompt action in the arrest of Jennifer Watson for her crime of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
