The Denver pet expo is tthis weekend at the National Western Center.July 30 and July 31.

The event has been in Denver many times but not in a heat crisis!

Please call the organizers at 720-702-3838 and sign and share this petition.

The National Western Center does NOT have air conditioning, and many people will be bringing their pets to the event where temperatures inside could be over 100 degrees.

I and other have asked the event holders about this multiple times and their only answer is that the center has "swamp cooling'. That is not AC and what about the pavement and parking lots?

"Breeds with those short noses such as Bull-dogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers and Pekinese suffer from brachycephalic airway syndrome (BAS), which causes inefficient breathing, and therefore inefficient cooling.”

There are other times of year or times with no risk of heatstroke to have event indoors full of dog.

Please help me convince the Denver Expo and the National Western Center to reconsider.
