The Protected Area and Watershed of the Municipality of Ipil is the town's last frontier with a total land area of 2,533 hectares traversing through the eight barangays of the Municipalities of Ipil, R.T. Lim, and Titay, all in Zamboanga Sibugay. It is threatened with the incursion of a tourism road into majestic Busay Falls, located inside the watershed. Preserving and rehabilitating this watershed is crucial to maintaining the ecosystem from the ridge to reefs: prevent the siltation of its tributary rivers and sea, irrigation for farmlands, and sustainable community water supply.
