Warrnambool City Council is proposing to lease out approximately 15,000sqm of land opposite 177 – 193 Harrington Road, for a period of 10-15 years.

If successful it will see around 50 self-contained units built in a concentrated area, using prefabricated modular construction, which will be used for social housing & key worker accommodation.

Concentrated social housing does not have a place in this day and age. It does not benefit anyone; it segregates communities, creates stigma and puts unnessesary pressure on existing infrastructure.

Warrnambool City Council needs to be open and transparent with Dennington residents 

An urgent community meeting is required with council to allow our concerns to be raised and discussed openly.

Dennington deserves better than this!
