John Edward (Jed) York is ruining, through his mismanagement and incompetence, a once proud and successful Professional Football franchise.  At its heart his job is simple -- hire the right GM and Head Coach for the team, and then manage the critical relationship between the two, a job at which, in the words of Sports Illustrated "he failed completely".  SI went on to say that, "York has created a culture that encourages selfishness, weakness, and back-stabbing."  Lowell Cohn, of the Press Democrat, said, "Jed York is a coward" for the way he handled the firing of Jim Harbaugh, the only successful head coach the 49ers have had since Steve Mariucci.

Some have said that Coach Harbaugh is difficult and hard to get along with.  Does anyone think that Bill Belichick keeps his job because of his sunny personality?  No, Belichick is the head coach of the Patriots because he wins, and because owner Robert Kraft knows how to manage his people.  The same can be said for how Paul Allen manages Pete Carroll.  Good managers know how to keep good people.

Jed York's total work experience outside of the 49er organization is a sum total of 1 year spent in a junior analyst position at an investment firm.  No management experience, no leadership experience, no people skills.

Denise, we know this is difficult, Jed is your son. But, please, for the good of the team, for the fans, for the city of San Francisco, replace him.  Let Jed try again in 20 years after he's had some seasoning, and hopefully tutelage under a solid, successful CEO.  In the meantime, as painful as it might be, he needs to be removed from the CEO spot before the team completely implodes.
