The Issue

For years, my community of Maurice River Township, NJ, and I have been haunted by a house that epitomizes danger and illegal activities, standing blatantly on a major road for all to see. As an animal lover, I am particularly disturbed by the memories of torture and abuse of pitbulls, forced into brutal dog fighting rings within those walls. It's painful to witness these horrors and allow them to continue tarnishing the sanctity of our community.

The troubled property is notorious for drug raids and illegal firearms, fostering fear and instability nearby. Its presence jeopardizes the safety of families, children, and pets who deserve to live in a peaceful and secure environment. This eyesore not only affects our mental well-being but stands as a constant reminder of the lawlessness that has plagued our neighborhood. Let's not forget the 2 Deaths on the property. One of them a potential murder by hanging.

Our community envisions transforming this symbol of adversity into a beacon of hope and rejuvenation. We propose that after demolishing the house, the land be repurposed into a beautiful dog park or an animal sanctuary. Such a change would not only remove the aura of criminality but build new foundations where community members and animals can thrive in harmony.

Let's advocate together for a future where our township reflects safety and compassion rather than crime and cruelty. Your support can make a difference. Demolishing this house will be a significant step towards protecting our community and offering solace to abused and neglected animals.

Support us in making this vision a reality by signing this petition to initiate the removal of this unsafe and damaging structure, paving the way for something beautiful and purposeful.
