Following five years of a witch hunt by UNISON's leadership against Brian Debus, Glenn Kelly, Onay Kasab, and Suzanne Muna, an Employment Tribunal and an Employment Appeals Tribunal have both declared that they were subjected to 'unjustifiable disciplinary action' by UNISON.

Now, unbelievably, UNISON is going to spend (and waste) another £100,000 of members' money appealing this decision. If an employer was to do this, UNISON would rightly condemn their actions. UNISON should now admit that it was wrong to act in the way it did against the four. The union should also acknowledge that it was wrong to take some of the branches under regional administration, putting an end to democratic lay member control in those branches and removing members' right to say who represents them. All branches should now be restored to full lay member control. We demand 'Democracy not Bureaucracy' in UNISON!

We, the undersigned, call on UNISON General Secretary Dave Prentis to stop spending members' money on continuing to persecute the four, and use it where it should be used - organising against the employers' and government's attacks.
