- Another year. Another Pride scandal. Just look at the #ManchesterPride hashtags to catch up if you haven't seen the outcry and rage...
This "charitable foundation" cancels provisions for the LGBT Foundation, George House Trust and the Albert Kennedy Trust, where just 3% goes to charity, the protest cancelled, accounts suppressed, a barrage of lies being called out. Just another year in Manchester!
Thankfully if you go to the Village Licensed Business Association Go Fund Me campaign already raising tens of thousands directly for the Village and not the minuscule now virtually non-existent amounts said to be for 'good causes'! Just donate at their link! See https://www.gofundme.com/f/target-100k
Cancel the 'official Manchester Pride plc event and join the other events led by the community, the other Pride match at Twitter @MCRPrideProtest
Do not support the increased wages, hidden accounts, the MCC leader supported extortion and annual waste...
It is sad seeing single scapegoats when Council leaders for decades have enabled this, where they often hide behind the scapegoat, though the panel and pay rises are galling, with petitions rightly calling for these Pride Trustees and employees to resign.
For example often abusive Councillor Pat Karney tweeted about his private meetings with Pride!
But guess what?
Recently activists put in an FOI request asking for documents relating to the promised Council investigation into Pride in 2019. The Council has told them they has no minutes or any any other documents to send because the meetings were held at Manchester Pride, which of course, being a charity, isn't subject to FOI. Funny that.
Something has been wrong for decades. The money and millions made never return to the Village (that increasingly is being brought up for land speculation and development)!
It is beyond time the rotten political, the rotten Manchester Pride PLC was investigated.
At this point support the grassroots community and not the monstrosity of profit over people Manchester 'Pride' has long been and enabled to be by political 'leaders' in the city. Enough is enough!
